Since then, his family and close friends have maintained that he was wrongly convicted and have campaigned to prove his innocence. Their efforts have gained support from an unexpected ally: the victim’s brother. Years later, new evidence emerged that cast doubt on the reliability of the eyewitness testimony that played a key role in the conviction, raising questions about whether a miscarriage of justice may have occurred.
